Athens, GA (Sports Network) - Trey Thompkins' double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds led the way for Georgia, as the Bulldogs defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks, 66-61, in SEC action at Stegeman Coliseum.

Jeremy Price added 16 points for Georgia (11-12, 3-7 SEC), while Travis Leslie posted 15 points, to go along with seven boards and five assists.

Brandis Raley-Ross netted 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds for South Carolina (14-10, 5-5), while Devan Downey also tallied 18 points. Lakeem Jackson chipped in 10 points in the loss.

The game went into the break tied at 31 apiece after South Carolina shot just 37.5 percent from the floor, and Georgia finished with a 40.7 percent showing from the field.
