Cookeville, TN (Sports Network) - Frank Davis netted a game-high 19 points as the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles defeated the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks 70-61 in an Ohio Valley Conference showdown at the Eblen Center.

Alfred Jones added 13 points and nine rebounds for Tennessee Tech (13-13, 7-8 OVC), while Elijah Muhammad scored 11.

UT-Martin (4-21, 1-14) was led by Benzor Simmons' 14 points, while Terrance Coleman contributed 13 and nine boards.

The Golden Eagles held a 34-27 lead at halftime after connecting on 12-of-28 from the floor in the first stanza.

The Skyhawks could only sink a poor 30.0 percent of their shots in the second half, as the loss continues Martin's struggle against conference opponents.

Tech was able to seal the nine-point victory by converting 28-of-39 free throws in the affair, including 21-of-29 in the second half.
