Elon, NC (Sports Network) - Cameron Wells racked up 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead The Citadel Bulldogs to a 77-72 victory over the Elon Phoenix in a Southern Conference battle.

Harrison DuPont netted 18 points for The Citadel (14-12, 8-6 SoCon), which got 16 points from Austin Dahn.

Adam Constantine had 24 points and 15 rebounds in defeat for Elon (6-19, 4-10). Drew Spradlin added 18 points for the Phoenix, who received 10 points and six assists from Chris Long.

Elon led 31-28 at intermission despite being outscored 7-1 from the foul line in the first half.

In the second half, the Bulldogs connected on 15-of-24 field goal attempts, including 6-of-9 three-pointers, en route victory.

A 20-11 edge in points from the charity stripe was key to The Citadel victory.
