Irvine, CA (Sports Network) - Patrick Rembert converted a layup with 9.2 seconds remaining to lift the UC Irvine Anteaters to a 69-67 victory over the UC Davis Aggies in Big West Conference action at the Bren Events Center.

Rembert finished the night with nine points and five assists for UCI (11-15, 4-8 BWC) in the triumph. Darren Moore delivered 21 points and nine rebounds, while Michael Hunter tallied 19 points and six boards.

Dominic Calegari and Todd Lowenthal each had 13 points and combined for nine helpers in the setback for UCD (10-14, 6-6). Ryan Sypkens and Julian Welch also got into the mix, contributing 12 points apiece.

In the opening half, the Aggies drained 11-of-17 shots from beyond the arc, as they held a 45-40 edge at the intermission.

UCI closed the game with a 9-0 run, capped by Rembert's bucket with 9.2 seconds left for the two-point win.

UCD ended the game 14-of-28 from three-point land, meanwhile, UCI went 8-of-16 from long range and held a 19-9 advantage in free-throw points.
