Cheney, WA (Sports Network) - Glen Dean of Eastern Washington made the first of two free throws with 2.5 seconds remaining to lift his Eagles to a 69-68 triumph over the Montana Grizzlies in Big Sky Conference play.

Dean finished with 23 points and seven assists for Eastern Washington (8-18, 4-8 BSC). The Eagles also got 18 points from Jeffrey Forbes and 13 points from Mark Dunn.

Anthony Johnson scored 28 points in defeat for Montana (18-8, 9-5), while Michael Taylor added 11 points.

Eastern Washington shot 59.1 percent from the floor in the first half, including 6-of-9 from three-point range, and led 36-28 at intermission.

Over the final 20 minutes, the Eagles knocked down 6-of-10 shots from behind the arc.

Montana lost the game despite a 24-8 advantage in points off turnovers.
