Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - Ryan Rossiter put together a solid double- double with 15 points and a game-high 17 rebounds as he helped lead the Siena Saints back into the win column with a 74-57 triumph over the Canisius Golden Griffins in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference bout at the Koessler Center.
Alex Franklin opened up on offense with a game-high 26 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the floor, while Clarence Jackson tacked on 16 points for the Saints (22-5, 15-1 MAAC) as they rebounded from their first loss in 16 games on Friday night to Niagara.
The Golden Griffins (12-15, 7-9) were paced by Bob Bevilacqua with 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting from three-point range, while Frank Turner contributed 15 points and a game-high nine assists in the team's fourth loss in the last five outings.
Shooting 55.6 percent from the field in the first half, Siena managed to build a 36-26 lead at the break.
In the second half the Saints continued to have the hot hand with 53.3 percent accuracy from the floor, en route to the 17-point road win.
Siena shot only 2-of-7 behind the three-point line, matching the home team's effort at the charity stripe. The visitors helped themselves along the way with a commanding 43-27 rebounding edge.
