Riverdale, NY (Sports Network) - Mike Evanovich scored 15 points to lead the Fairfield Stags to a 74-56 victory over the Manhattan Jaspers in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference bout at Draddy Gym.

Anthony Johnson added a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds for Fairfield (18-8, 11-5 MAAC), while Colin Nickerson and Derek Needham posted 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Rico Pickett was the only player in double figures for Manhattan (9-17, 4-12), as the guard scored 18 points in the loss.

The Stags went into the break with a 43-25 lead after holding Manhattan to a meager 25.0 percent shooting effort from the floor in the first half.

In the second stanza Fairfield shot a respectable 46.2 percent from the field, en route to an 18-point win.

The Stags shot 50.9 percent from the floor in the contest, while Manhattan finished with a 33.3 percent effort from the field.
