Tommie Sykes netted 14 points for ULM (11-15, 6-9), while Dynile Forbes and Kenneth Averette posted 11 points apiece in the loss.

The Red Wolves went into the break with a 34-23 lead after holding ULM to a mere 30.8 percent shooting effort from the floor in the first 20 minutes of action.

Arkansas State shot 52.0 percent from the field in the second stanza, and went on to claim the 17-point win.
