Jersey City, NJ (Sports Network) - Ryan Thompson scored 21 points to lead the Rider Broncs to a 72-66 victory over the Saint Peter's Peacocks in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tussle at the Yanitelli Center.

Mike Ringgold added 17 points for Rider (15-13, 8-8 MAAC), while Justin Robinson tallied 11 points, to go along with eight assists.

Jeron Berlin netted 15 points for Saint Peter's (14-11, 9-6), while Ryan Bacon contributed 13 points and eight rebounds. Wesley Jenkins and Nick Leon posted 12 and 10 points, respectively, in the loss.

The Broncs held Saint Peter's to a mere 35.5 percent shooting effort from the floor in the first half, and went into the break with a 31-26 edge.

In the second stanza, Rider shot a blistering 70.8 percent from the field in the second stanza, and went on to win by a six-point margin.

Rider dominated the play in the paint, outscoring Saint Peter's by a 46-28 margin.
