College Park, MD (Sports Network) - Greivis Vasquez exploded for 30 points for Maryland, as the Terrapins defeated the Virginia Cavaliers, 85-66, in an ACC bout at the Comcast Center.

Vasquez also grabbed eight boards and dished out five assists for Maryland (17-7, 7-3 ACC), while Landon Milbourne posted 14 points. Jordan Williams added a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Eric Hayes tallied 10 points, to go along with nine assists.

Mike Scott and Jeff Jones netted 16 points apiece for Virginia (14-9, 5-5), while Sylven Landesberg chipped in 12 points.

The Terps shot a staggering 70.0 percent from the floor in the first half and went into the intermission with a 52-34 lead.

Maryland went on to win by a 19-point margin after holding the Cavs to a 37.9 percent shooting effort from the floor in the second stanza.

The Terps won the battle on the glass by a 42-28 margin.
