Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - Rodney Pierce scored 18 points and passed out six assists to lead the Buffalo Bulls to a 64-51 victory over the Bowling Green Falcons in a Mid-American Conference bout at Alumni Arena.

Sean Smiley added 14 points in the win for Buffalo (15-9, 8-5 MAC), while Max Boudreau chipped in 12 points off the bench.

Scott Thomas posted 21 points to lead the way for Bowling Green (13-12, 6-7), while Otis Polk finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds in a losing effort.

The Falcons were held to just 34.8 percent shooting from the field during the opening period of play, enabling Buffalo to take a 35-20 lead into the break.

In the second half, the Bulls shot at a 52.6 percent clip en route to the 13- point win.

The Falcons were guilty of 16 turnovers in the loss.
