Northridge, CA (Sports Network) - Lenny Daniel scored 20 points and pulled down seven rebounds as the Cal State Northridge Matadors posted a 73-68 win over the Cal Poly Mustangs in Big West Conference play at the Matadome.

Also scoring in double figures for the Matadors (10-16, 5-7 Big West) as they snapped a three-game slide, were Kenny Daniels and Willie Galick with 19 and 13 points, respectively.

The Mustangs (9-16, 6-7) were paced by Lorenzo Keeler with a game-high 23 points on 9-of-19 shooting from the field, while Shawn Lewis tacked on 14 points on a mere 3-of-14 from the floor.

Cal Poly led by a basket early in the first half, but the squad shot only 37.5 percent in the frame and ended up trailing by a 35-29 margin at the break.

In the second half Northridge feasted at the free-throw line where it made good on 22-of-27 opportunities to capture the five-point home win.

The difference in the meeting came at the charity stripe where the Matadors held a huge 30-12 advantage.
