Muncie, IN (Sports Network) - Randy Davis scored 24 points to lead the Ball State Cardinals to a 69-63 victory over the Central Michigan Chippewas in Mid- American Conference action.

Jauwan Scaife netted 18 points for Ball State (14-11, 8-5 MAC).

Jordan Bitzer scored 18 points in defeat for Central Michigan (12-13, 7-6).

Ball State opened the game with a 6-0 run and led by as many as 14 points in the first half en route to a 36-25 advantage at intermission.

Down by 15 points early in the second half, Central Michigan ripped off 18 unanswered points to grab a 43-40 lead. Fortunately for Ball State, it was able to regain an eight-point advantage and won by six points.

The Cardinals shot 49 percent from the field in the tilt while holding the Chippewas to 36 percent efficiency.
