Valparaiso, IN (Sports Network) - Matt Kenney poured in a game-high 27 points and collected six rebounds to lead the Valparaiso Crusaders to an 84-73 victory over the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers in a Horizon League tussle at the Athletics-Recreation Center.

Howard Little added 15 points and grabbed seven boards in the win for Valparaiso (15-14, 10-7 HL), while Cory Johnson finished with 11 points. Brandon Wood and Ryan Broekhoff got into the mix as well, registering 10 points apiece for the Crusaders.

Andy Polka finished with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the way for Loyola-Chicago (14-12, 5-11), while Geoff McCammon and Terrance Hill scored 18 and 15 points, respectively, in the losing effort.

The Ramblers shot at a solid 46.2 pace from the field during the opening period of play, but a 50.0 percent effort that included 5-of-12 from long range gave Valparaiso a 40-34 halftime advantage.

The Crusaders stormed out of the locker room and connected on 50.0 percent of their attempts from the field during the second frame to earn an 11-point victory.

The Ramblers were guilty of a game-high 15 giveaways in the loss.
