Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Nick Leon scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Saint Peter's Peacocks to a 69-61 victory over the Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds in a MAAC battle at Reitz Arena.
Darius Conley added 14 points and grabbed six rebounds in the win for Saint Peter's (15-11, 10-6 MAAC), while Wesley Jenkins tallied 12 points.
J'hared Hall scored 12 points to lead the way for Loyola (12-14, 5-11), while Jawann Wright and Shane Walker registered 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Greyhounds.
Loyola converted a meager 30.0 percent from the floor during the opening stanza, but the team still took a 26-21 lead into the break.
In the second half, however, the Peacocks battled back with a 48.1 percent effort from the field that included 6-of-10 from long range.
Saint Peter's controlled the glass during the contest, outrebounding the Greyhounds by a 44-28 margin.
