Elon, NC (Sports Network) - Drew Spradlin scored 14 points to lead four players in double figures as the Elon Phoenix held off the UNC Greensboro Spartans, 70-65, in a Southern Conference game.

Terrance Birdette scored 12 points for the Phoenix (7-19, 5-10 SoCon), who ended a brief two-game losing streak. Adam Constantine added 11 points, while Chris Long finished with 10 points and five assists.

Ben Stywall scored 22 points and added 11 rebounds for the Spartans (5-21, 4-11), who lost their fifth straight game. Mikko Koivisto finished with 19 points and Kendall Toney had 11 points.

Elon took a 35-23 halftime lead on the strength 40.6 percent shooting from the floor. UNC Greensboro was just 8-of-27 from the field in the first half.

The Phoenix led by as many as 16 points in the second half and never led by less than four. The Phoenix shot an even 50.0 percent from the floor in the second half.
