Albuquerque, NM (Sports Network) - Darington Hobson scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and 12th-ranked New Mexico extended their win streak with an 83-61 drubbing of Wyoming.

Phillip McDonald added 14 points for the Lobos (24-3, 10-2 MWC), who have won 10 straight games and improved to 15-1 at home. Roman Martinez provided 13 points and seven rebounds in the lopsided victory.

"We just share the basketball, and our defense is getting better and better," said New Mexico head coach Steve Alford. "Overall, I was extremely pleased. You got everybody in, everybody gets to play, everybody scores. Those are always fun nights."

Arthur Bouedo tallied 17 points to lead the Cowboys (9-17, 2-10), who have lost six straight overall and all nine road games this season. Djibril Thiam contributed 10 points in defeat.

"I think (New Mexico is) probably playing as good as anybody in the country," said Wyoming head coach Heath Schroyer. "When a team wins eight straight games in the league, especially this league and this year, it shows that they're a very good team."

New Mexico wasted no time blowing the game wide open, scoring the first 11 points of the contest.

Martinez's three 4:21 into the first half capped the burst, and the lead grew to 14, 22-8, after a Nate Garth three-pointer with 9:14 to go.

The Lobos led by as many as 19 in the first half and took a 37-20 advantage into halftime.

The hosts continued to pour it on in the second half, with a trio of Jamal Fenton free throws providing a 67-37 cushion with 9:49 to play in the game.

New Mexico was ahead by as many as 31 before a late Wyoming run accounted for the final margin.
