Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Brian Stafford scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Denver Pioneers to a 62-57 win over the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans in Sun Belt Conference action at Magness Arena.

Nate Rohnert also added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Pioneers (15-11, 8-7 SBC), while Chase Hallam chipped in with 11 points.

The Trojans (7-19, 3-12) were paced by Solomon Bozeman who scored 16 points in a losing effort. Derrick Bails also got involved, tallying 10 points and nine rebounds, while Matt Mouzy checked in with 11 points as well.

Despite shooting just 42.9 percent from the floor in the first half, Denver still managed to take a 28-22 lead at the break.

The Pioneers kept the pressure on in the second stanza, knocking down 11-of-19 shots from the field, en route to a five-point victory.

Three-point shooting proved to be the difference in the contest, as Denver outscored the Trojans 27-18 from long distance.
