Seth Tarver added 18 points for Oregon State (12-13, 6-7 Pac10), while Joe Burton contributed 12 points and eight rebounds. Jared Cunningham and Calvin Haynes helped the cause with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Theo Robertson netted 15 points for Cal (17-9, 9-5), while Patrick Christopher tallied 12 points in the loss.

The Beavers shot 52.0 percent from the floor in the first half and went into the break with a 39-36 advantage.

Oregon State pulled away in the second stanza by connecting on 12-of-21 attempts from the floor.

Oregon State finished 27-of-36 from the foul line in the contest, while Cal connected on just 15-of-23 attempts from the charity stripe.
