Clarksville, TN (Sports Network) - Wes Channels scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Austin Peay Governors to a 77-72 overtime win over the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in Ohio Valley Conference action from the Dunn Center.

The Governors (16-12, 10-6 OVC) also received 23 points from Anthony Campbell, while Duran Roberson chipped in with 10 points.

The Golden Eagles (13-15, 7-10) were paced by Kevin Murphy, who tallied 21 points and seven rebounds in a losing effort. Frank Davis and Elijah Muhammad also got involved, netting 15 points apiece for TTU. Muhammad also collected eight rebounds and dished out five assists.

TTU got off to a fast start, shooting 42.3 percent from the floor in the first half, to take a 37-29 lead at the break.

The Governors stormed back in the second stanza, as Campbell drained a three- pointer with 24 seconds remaining, to tie the game at 67-67 and send the matchup into overtime.

Austin Peay took control of the overtime period, connecting on 4-of-5 free- throw attempts, en route to a five-point victory.

Three-point shooting proved to be the difference in this contest, as the Governors outscored the Golden Eagles 33-12 from long distance.
