Quincy Pondexter netted 18 points for Washington (17-9, 7-7), while Matthew Bryan-Amaning contributed 14 points in the loss.

The Trojans went into the break with a 32-24 lead after holding Washington to a meager 38.5 percent shooting effort from the floor in the first half.

USC shot 50.0 percent from the floor in the second frame, en route to the three-point victory.

The Trojans won the battle on the boards by a 34-27 margin.
