Piscataway, NJ (Sports Network) - Jerome Dyson scored a game-high 20 points and dished out six assists to lead the Connecticut Huskies to a 76-58 win over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in Big East Conference play at Louis Brown Athletic Center.

Kemba Walker also added 16 points for the Huskies (16-11, 6-8 Big East), while Stanley Robinson and Gavin Edwards chipped in with 11 points apiece.

Mike Rosario paced Rutgers (14-13, 4-10), scoring 14 points in a losing effort. Hamady Ndiaye also got involved, totaling 13 points and seven rebounds, while Dane Miller tallied 11 points and eight rebounds.

UConn took control off the contest in the first half, shooting 44.4 percent from the floor, to take a 31-28 lead at the break.

The Huskies pulled away in the second stanza, knocking down 12-of-14 free- throws, en route to an 18-point victory.

UConn was stifling at the defensive end of the floor, limiting Rutgers to just 35.0 percent shooting, while forcing 15 turnovers in the win.
