Kingston, RI (Sports Network) - Akeem Richmond scored 20 points to lead the Rhode Island Rams to a 101-75 victory over the Fordham Rams in an Atlantic-10 tussle at the Ryan Center.

Lamonte Ulmer added 18 points and eight rebounds for Rhode Island (20-6, 8-5 A-10), while Will Martell also posted 18 points. Keith Cothran contributed 13 points and seven assists in the win.

Chris Gaston poured in 32 points and collected 10 rebounds for Fordham (2-23, 0-13), while Brenton Butler and Herb Tanner tallied 17 and 14 points, respectively.

URI shot a sizzling 57.9 percent from the floor in the first half and went into the break with a 58-28 advantage.

Rhode Island continued its sharp shooting in the second stanza, as the team connected on 18-of-36 field goal attempts, en route to the 26-point win.

The Rams of Rhode Island scored 25 points off 14 Fordham turnovers.
