Birmingham, AL (Sports Network) - Elijah Millsap scored 22 points and hauled down 14 rebounds as the UAB Blazers beat the Houston Cougars, 75-66, in Conference USA action.

Howard Crawford scored 20 points for the Blazers (21-5, 9-3 CUSA). Aaron Johnson added 10 assists for UAB, which has won three of its last four.

Aubrey Coleman scored 20 points for Houston (13-13, 5-7). Zamal Nixon added 15 points and Maurice McNeil had 12 points. Kendrick Washington had 10 rebounds.

UAB led by 15 at one point in the first half, but led just 34-33 at intermission after shooting 42.3 percent from the floor in the first stanza. Houston was just 11-of-33 from the floor in the opening 20 minutes.

The game was tied four times early in the second half before the hosts moved in front for good. UAB shot 14-of-28 from the floor in the second half.

Houston shot just 33.8 percent from the floor for the game.
