Evansville, IN (Sports Network) - Robo Kreps hit a game-winning jumper with 4.4 seconds remaining to lift the Illinois-Chicago Flames over the Evansville Purple Aces, 82-80, in a BracketBusters contest.

Kreps finished with 28 points and six assists for UIC (7-20). Spencer Stewart added 20 points, and Jeremy Buttell had 12 points for the Flames.

Clint Hopf scored 18 points in defeat for Evansville (7-20). James Haarsma was close behind with 17 points for the Purple Aces.

Evansville led 40-36 at intermission after a 15-of-19 effort from the foul line in the first half.

The Flames were able to fight back and claim the win with a 62.5 percent shooting effort from the floor in the second half.

Evansville lost the game despite a 27-19 edge in points from the foul line and a low total of seven turnovers.
