Rosemont, IL (Sports Network) - Samardo Samuels scored 14 points to lead the Louisville Cardinals to a 68-59 win over the DePaul Blue Demons in a Big East affair at Allstate Arena.

Edgar Sosa also added 13 points and seven assists for the Cardinals (18-9, 9-5 Big East).

Mac Koshwal led the way for the Blue Demons (8-18, 1-13), tallying a game-high 26 points and 10 rebounds, in a losing effort.

The Cardinals took control of the contest in the first half, shooting 43.3 percent from the floor, to take a 32-27 lead at the break.

Louisville put the game away in the second stanza, connecting on 12-of-21 shots from the field, en route to the nine-point win.

The Louisville bench proved to be the difference in this contest, outscoring the DePaul reserves 19-10 in the win.
