Irvine, CA (Sports Network) - The UC Irvine Anteaters preserved a 66-65 victory after Marist's Daye Kaba hit a three-pointer to bring the game to within one in a BracketBusters showdown tonight at the Bren Events Center.

Eric Wise led all scorers on the night, sinking 20 points to go with 10 rebounds for UC Irvine (12-16). Darren Moore scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the win, while Zack Atkinson contributed 13 points of his own.

Devin Price scored 18 points for Marist (1-26) in the tough loss. Kaba netted 13 points, while Dejuan Goodwin and Candon Rusin both contributed 10 points apiece.

The Anteaters held a one-point lead at the intermission, 33-32, despite shooting a poor 31.0 percent from the floor in the first half.

Marist connected on eight of 15 from long range in the second stanza, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

The Anteaters were dominant on the glass, outrebounding Marist 51-27 on the night, including a 23-6 advantage on the offensive boards.
