Jacksonville, AL (Sports Network) - Walt Allen scored 14 points to lead the Presbyterian Blue Hose to a 59-55 victory over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in a BracketBusters tilt.

Jake Troyli also tallied 14 points for Presbyterian (5-23), which had lost eight of nine entering the contest.

Nick Murphy had 17 points and nine rebounds in the disappointing loss for Jacksonville State (11-17). The Gamecocks got 12 points from Stephen Hall and 11 points from Jeremy Bynum.

Presbyterian exploded out to a 36-18 halftime lead on the strength of 14-of-21 shooting from the floor in the first half.

The Blue Hose only connected on 6-of-21 field goal attempts in the second half, but they did hit 11 free throws over the final 20 minutes.

Jacksonville State lost despite a 32-27 rebounding advantage.
