Fresno, CA (Sports Network) - Orlando Johnson, who finished with a game-high 23 points, sank a pair of free throws in the final moments to seal the 64-60 win for UC Santa Barbara over Fresno State in a BracketBusters event at the Save Mart Center.

Johnson made good on 9-of-16 shots from the floor on the night for the Gauchos (16-8) as they won their fifth straight. James Powell added 10 points off the bench.

The Bulldogs (13-15) were paced by Mike Ladd with 16 points, while Paul George put up 13 points and pulled down seven rebounds in the team's third straight loss.

UCSB opened the night on a 21-6 run and never looked back, recording a 32-28 lead at the break on the strength of 51.9 percent shooting from the floor.

A three-pointer by Ladd at the 4:32 mark of the second half tied the meeting at 55-55, but that's as close as the Bulldogs would get to leading on the night, falling yet again at home.

Fresno State outscored the visitors at the free-throw line, 20-13, but the Bulldogs missed 15 attempts at the stripe on the night as well.
