Logan, UT (Sports Network) - Tai Wesley scored a game-high 13 points as the Utah State Aggies recorded a 68-58 win over the Wichita State Shockers in a BracketBuster matchup at the D.G. Smith Spectrum.
Also scoring in double figures for the Aggies (22-6) were Nate Bendall and Brady Jardine with 12 and 11 points, respectively, as they won their 12th straight game.
The Shockers (22-7) were paced by JT Durley with his 12 points and eight rebounds, while David Kyles tacked on 11 points as he shot a perfect 3-of-3 behind the three-point line off the bench.
The top three-point shooting team in the nation entering the weekend, Utah State knocked down its only try from the perimeter in the first half, helping to provide the squad with a 30-20 lead at the break.
In the second half the Aggies made good on 53.8 percent from the floor and 4- of-9 beyond the arc, en route to the 10-point win.
The Aggies, who led by as many as 16 points midway through the second half, held the Shockers to just 7-of-20 behind the three-point line.
USU has now won 12 consecutive games at home and 64 of the last 66 in their own building. Under the direction of head coach Stew Morrill, the Aggies have a record of 174-13 in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
