Matt Morgan tallied 18 points in defeat for Winthrop (15-11), which had its seven-game winning streak halted. Reggie Middleton pitched in 10 points for the Eagles.

Eastern Kentucky shot 63.6 percent from the floor in the first half and led 36-30 at intermission.

A 58.3 percent shooting effort over the final 20 minutes enabled the Colonels to seal the victory.
