Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Jordan Crawford deposited 23 points and dished out six assists, leading the Xavier Musketeers to an 81-67 win over the Charlotte 49ers in Atlantic 10 play at Halton Arena.

Jamel McLean added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Musketeers (19-7, 10-2 A-10), who entered the day just a half-game back of Richmond for first place in the conference standings. Terrell Holloway scored 13 in the win, and Jason Love finished with 10.

Derrio Green had 23 points to pace the 49ers (18-8, 8-4), who have fallen off the pace with three straight losses. Shamari Spears scored 13 in a losing effort.

After a bit of a slow start, Xavier grabbed a 31-22 halftime lead as Charlotte shot a dismal 9-of-27 from the floor in the opening frame.

The Musketeers sealed the victory with a 58.3 percent shooting effort from the floor in the second stanza, in addition to going 18-of-21 at the foul line.

The Musketeers turned up the defense, holding Charlotte to 36.5 percent shooting for the game to notch their seventh victory over the last eight games.
