Chattanooga, TN (Sports Network) - Ricky Taylor netted 22 points to lead the Chattanooga Mocs to a 78-73 victory over the Davidson Wildcats in a Southern Conference clash.

Ty Patterson posted 20 points and eight rebounds for Chattanooga (14-15, 6-10 SoCon), which received 16 points and six assists from Keegan Bell.

Jake Cohen scored 16 points in defeat for Davidson (14-14, 9-7). The Wildcats also got 15 points from Brendan McKillop, 13 points from Nik Cochran and 10 points from Will Archambault.

Davidson led 35-32 at intermission after shooting 50 percent from the floor in the first half, including 7-of-14 from three-point range.

The Wildcats were held to 35.1 percent field goal efficiency over the final 20 minutes, and the Mocs' 52 percent shooting in that second half enabled them to steal the victory.

An 18-5 advantage in points from the foul line and a 41-35 rebounding edge clearly helped the cause for Chattanooga.
