Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Charles Jenkins scored a game-high 20 points as he helped lead the Hofstra Pride to a 73-62 win over the Northeastern Huskies in a Colonial Athletic Association matchup at Matthews Arena.

Also hitting for double figures for the Pride (17-13, 9-8 CAA) were Halil Kanacevic with 16 points and Chaz Williams and Cornelius Vines with 12 points apiece as they won their fifth straight and the eighth in the last nine outings. Kanacevic also led the way on the glass with a game-high 11 boards, while Jenkins logged eight rebounds and seven assists, but also nine turnovers.

The Huskies (18-11, 13-4), who now trail Old Dominion for first place in the conference standings after the Monarchs defeated Georgia State earlier in the evening, were paced by Nkem Ojougboh with 15 points and seven rebounds, Matt Janning 12 points, Chaisson Allen 11 and Manny Adako 10 on Senior Night in Boston.

It was a tight game throughout and while Northeastern led by as many as six points in the first half, the squad held just a 37-35 advantage at the break after shooting an even 50 percent from the floor.

In a game that saw 11 ties and just as many lead changes, the Huskies closed to within a basket at 61-59, but from there they were dominated by Hofstra and ended up with the 11-point setback.

The Pride posted a 39-27 rebounding advantage and also held the Huskies to just 3-of-15 shooting behind the three-point line, with Janning missing all five of his attempts.

Hofstra is set to close out the regular season against Georgia State on Saturday, while Northeastern battles George Mason on the road.
