Ames, IA (Sports Network) - Craig Brackins netted 11 of his 21 points in the final 5:18 of the game as the Iowa State Cyclones were able to defeat the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 78-74, in a Big 12 Conference battle.

Brackins also tore down 10 rebounds to complete his 29th career double-double for Iowa State (14-14, 3-10 Big 12). Scott Christopherson scored 17 points, while Marquis Gilstrap and Diante Garrett provided healthy efforts, scoring 15 and 11 points, respectively.

Christian Standhardinger poured in a career-high 25 points in the loss for Nebraska (13-15, 1-12). Lance Jeter scored 21 points, while Brian Diaz added 12.

The Cornhuskers held a 41-34 halftime lead behind 50.0 percent shooting from the floor in the opening stanza.
