Williamsburg, VA (Sports Network) - Troy Franklin poured in a game-high 27 points and passed out seven assists to lead the Towson Tigers to an 83-77 victory over the William & Mary Tribe in a Colonial Athletic Association tilt.

Robert Nwankwo added 16 points and collected 12 rebounds in the win for Towson (8-20, 5-12 CAA), while Josh Thornton scored 14 points. RaShawn Polk got into the mix as well, finishing with 12 points for the Tigers.

David Schneider scored 22 points while dishing out six assists to lead the way for William & Mary (19-9, 11-6), while Danny Sumner tallied 16 points. Marcus Kitts chipped in 12 points while collecting nine boards off the bench, and Quinn McDowell added 11 points.

The Tribe shot at a lackluster 37.5 percent clip during the opening period of play, but they still managed a slim 35-34 lead heading into the break.

In the second half, however, the Tigers buried 57.7 percent of their attempts from the floor to earn a six-point win.

The Tribe converted just 38.9 percent of their attempts from the field in the loss.
