Chestnut Hill, MA (Sports Network) - Joe Trapani scored 17 points, as the Boston College Eagles breezed past the Virginia Tech Hokies, 80-60, in ACC play at the Conte Forum.

Rakim Sanders added 15 points and nine rebounds for BC (14-13, 5-8 ACC), which won its second straight following a four-game slide. Corey Raji chipped in with 13 points and Tyler Roche had 10 in the winning effort.

Malcolm Delaney tallied 21 points and five assists for the Hokies (21-6, 8-5), who dropped their second consecutive outing after a five-game winning streak. Dorenzo Hudson tacked on 14 points, while Jeff Allen pitched in with 10 in the setback.

BC opened the game with a 15-2 run on its way to a 39-24 halftime advantage.

The Eagles shot 48.1 percent from the floor and went 13-of-18 at the foul line in the second half, as they coasted to the 20-point victory.
