St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Jordan Crawford poured in a game-high 26 points as the Xavier Musketeers defeated the Saint Louis Billikens, 73-71, in an Atlantic 10 Conference battle at Chaifetz Arena.

Jason Love scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the win for Xavier (20-7, 11-2 A-10).

Kwamain Mitchell netted 21 points in the loss for Saint Louis (18-9, 9-4), while Cody Ellis added 19. Willie Reed recorded a double-double on the night, scoring 18 points to go along with 13 boards.

The Billikens took a 34-28 advantage into the intermission after connecting on 44.8 percent from the floor in the opening half, including seven three- pointers.

The Musketeers mounted a comeback in the second half, highlighted by a 16-0 run.

Xavier won the battle in the trenches, outscoring Saint Louis 42-24 in the paint.
