Charleston, IL (Sports Network) - Tyler Laser and Jeremy Granger scored 21 points each as the Eastern Illinois Panthers bested the Austin Peay Governors 83-73 in an Ohio Valley Conference matchup at Lantz Arena.

James Hollowell scored 12 points for the Panthers (17-11, 10-7 OVC), while Shaun Pratl added 11 points and seven rebounds.

Wes Channels scored 23 points for Austin Peay (16-14, 10-7) and grabbed five rebounds before fouling out. Anthony Campbell added 13 points and Tyrone Caldwell contributed 10.

Austin Peay led 36-35 at halftime on the strength of going 5-of-8 from long range in the first half. The Governors led by as many as seven in the first half.

Eastern Illinois came up big in the second half, shooting 17-of-32 from the floor. The Panthers were also 12-of-17 from the foul line in the second half.

Eastern Illinois enjoyed a 39-30 rebounding edge.
