Mobile, AL (Sports Network) - Tim Williams drilled a jumper with six seconds remaining in regulation to lead the South Alabama Jaguars to a 54-52 win over Denver Pioneers in a Sun Belt Conference matchup at the Mitchell Center.

Williams led all scorers with 22 points, while Javier Carter chipped in with 13 points for the Jaguars (16-14, 8-10 SBC).

The Pioneers (16-12, 9-8) were paced by Brian Stafford, who scored 16 points in a losing effort. Chase Hallam also got involved, netting 15 points.

Denver got off to a fast start, knocking down 9-of-13 three-point attempts in the first half, to take a 33-19 lead at the break.

USA stormed back in the second stanza, shooting 64.7 percent from the floor, en route to a two-point victory.

The Jaguars shot 54.3 percent from the floor in the matchup and were also solid defensively, forcing Denver into 21 turnovers.
