Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Xavier Keeling scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Detroit Titans to a 65-54 win over the Cleveland State Vikings in Horizon League action at the Wolstein Center.
Thomas Kennedy also added 15 points for the Titans (17-13, 8-9 HL), while Eli Holman chipped in with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Chase Simon also got involved, netting 11 points in the win.
Cleveland State (14-16, 9-8) was paced by Norris Cole, who scored 20 points in a losing effort. D'Aundray Brown also netted 11 points for the Vikings, while Jeremy Montgomery checked in with 10 points and seven assists.
Detroit got off to a fast start, shooting 53.6 percent from the floor in the first half, to take a 41-30 lead at the break.
Despite shooting just 35.3 percent from the field in the second stanza, the Titans went on to win by an 11-point margin.
Three-point shooting proved to be the difference in this contest, as Detroit outscored the Vikings 30-15 from long distance.
