Statesboro, GA (Sports Network) - Antonio Hanson erupted for a career-high 39 points as Georgia Southern rallied for a 98-88 win over Elon in a Southern Conference bout at Hanner Fieldhouse.

Hanson was 13-of-20 from the floor, including 9-of-15 from three-point range, and 4-of-4 from the foul line. Ben Drayton added 18 points for the Eagles (9-21, 6-11 SoCon), while Willie Powers added 14 points.

Devan Carter scored 17 points to pace Elon (8-21, 5-12). Adam Constantine added 16 points and 12 rebounds. Josh Bonney added 15 points, while T.J. Douglas and Chris Long posted 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Elon built a 43-32 halftime lead after shooting an even 50.0 percent from the floor in the first half. The Phoenix hit 15-of-20 foul shots in the first half.

Georgia Southern stormed back in the second half, shooting 22-of-32 from the floor, hitting 7-of-11 from long range and 15-of-19 from the line.

The Eagles shot 55.6 percent from the field in the contest and that included a 13-of-25 showing from behind the arc.
