Casper Ware added 14 points for Long Beach State (14-14, 7-7 BigWest), while Larry Anderson and Greg Plater tallied 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Joe Harden posted a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds for UC Davis (11-16, 6-7), while Mark Payne and Dominic Calegari contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively, in the losing effort.

Despite shooting 34.5 percent from the floor in the first half, the 49ers went into the break with a slim, 32-31 advantage.

Long Beach State posted a meager 30.8 percent shooting display in the second stanza, but the team was able to grab a victory thanks to an 18-of-23 showing at the foul line.
