San Jose, CA (Sports Network) - Brandon Fields scored 23 points to lead the Nevada Wolf Pack to an 83-79 victory over the San Jose State Spartans in a Western Athletic Conference bout at McPherson Court.

Luke Babbitt added 21 points for Nevada (17-10, 9-4 WAC), while Armon Johnson contributed 18 points and seven boards. Joey Shaw posted 14 points, to go along with seven rebounds.

Adrian Oliver exploded for 35 points for SJSU (13-14, 5-8), while Mac Peterson tallied 15 points in the loss. Justin Graham only netted eight points, but was able to finish the game with 10 rebounds and eight assists.

The Wolf Pack shot a staggering 61.3 percent from the floor in the first half and went into the break with a 48-41 advantage.

In the second stanza Nevada posted a mediocre 41.4 percent shooting effort, but that was good enough for the team to hold for a four-point win.

On the night, the Wolf Pack shot 51.7 percent from the floor and also made 10- of-22 attempts from behind the arc.
