Cape Girardeau, MO (Sports Network) - Wes Channels scored 21 points to lift the Austin Peay Governors over the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks, 71-68, in an Ohio Valley Conference overtime thriller.

Anthony Campbell scored 13 points for Austin Peay (17-14, 11-7 OVC), which has earned the third seed in the upcoming conference tournament. The Governors also received 10 points and 12 boards from John Fraley.

Marland Smith and Cameron Butler tallied 18 points apiece in defeat for Southeast Missouri State (7-23, 3-15). Anthony Allison pitched in 10 points for the Redhawks.

Southeast Missouri State led 31-24 at intermission despite shooting only 30.3 percent from the floor in the first half.

Austin Peay grabbed a 59-57 lead on a layup by Campbell with 23 seconds remaining. Butler answered with nine seconds left, as his layup forced overtime.

In the extra session, Channels had four points in the final 19 seconds to lead his team to victory.
