Las Cruces, NM (Sports Network) - Jonathan Gibson poured in 24 points to lift the New Mexico State Aggies over the Boise State Broncos by a 95-92 final in a Western Athletic Conference showdown.

Jahmar Young posted 20 points for New Mexico State (19-9, 11-3 WAC), which got 15 points apiece from Hamidu Rahman and Hernst Laroche. Rahman had 10 rebounds, and Troy Gillenwater scored 12 points.

Robert Arnold racked up 35 points and 15 rebounds while shooting 12-of-14 from the floor in defeat for Boise State (13-16, 3-11). Daequon Montreal tallied 22 points for the Broncos, who got 15 points from Paul Noonan.

New Mexico State shot 54.5 percent from the floor in the first half and led 43-38 at intermission.

The Aggies sealed the victory with 51.4 percent shooting in the second half.

New Mexico State forced 23 turnovers in the clash, a major reason the club was able to overcome a 44-28 rebounding deficit.
