Elon, NC (Sports Network) - Steve Rossiter drilled a three-point basket in the final second of double-overtime to give the Davidson Wildcats a thrilling, 99-96 victory over the Elon Phoenix in a Southern Conference battle.

Jake Cohen scored 24 points and pulled down nine for Davidson (16-14, 11-7 SoCon), while J.P. Kuhlman and Brendan McKillop also tallied 24 points apiece.

Drew Spradlin netted 25 points and pulled down eight boards for Elon (8-22, 5-13), while Chris Long posted 16 points, to go along with nine assists. Adam Constantine tallied a double-double of 15 points and 12 boards, while Devan Carter chipped in 12 points.

The Phoenix shot a staggering 64.3 percent from the floor in the first half and went into the break with a 41-35 lead.

Davidson fought back in the second stanza by shooting 46.9 percent from the field. However, the team still needed a three-point basket by Kuhlman in the final seconds of the half to even the score at 77 apiece.

The Phoenix led throughout most of the first overtime, but the Wildcats remained close and eventually forced another five minutes of action.

The two teams exchanged baskets through the second extra session, but finally Rossiter's three-point bucket gave the Wildcats the lead for good.

Davidson connected on 16 three-point baskets in the matchup and finished with a 42.1 percent shooting effort from the floor.
