Kent, OH (Sports Network) - Justin Greene's double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds led the way for Kent State, as the Golden Flashes defeated the Miami- Ohio RedHawks, 66-58, in a Mid-American Conference bout at the M.A.C. Center.
Frank Henry-Ala added 12 points for KSU (22-8, 12-3 MAC), while Chris Singletary and Anthony Simpson posted 11 points apiece.
Julian Mavunga netted 17 points and grabbed eight boards for Miami-Ohio (12-17, 8-7), while Kenny Hayes and Nick Winbush posted 15 and 13 points, respectively, in the loss.
The Golden Flashes shot 45.5 percent from the field in the first half and went into the break with a 35-26 lead.
In the second stanza, KSU held Miami-Ohio to a mere 36.0 percent shooting effort and went on to win by an eight-point margin.
Kent State clobbered Miami-Ohio in the paint, outscoring the RedHawks down low by a 40-12 margin.
