Courtney Jackson added 14 points and nine rebounds for UALR (8-21, 4-14 SBC), while Derrick Bails and Alex Garcia-Mendoza posted 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Johann Mpondo netted 15 points for New Orleans (8-21, 3-15), while Carl Blair contributed 14 points. Jaroslav Tyrna tallied 12 points, while Devin McDonald and Quincy Diggs chipped in 11 points apiece.

The Trojans shot 50.0 percent from the floor in the first half and went into the break with a 32-26 edge.

UALR continued its solid play in the second stanza with a 65.2 percent shooting effort from the field.
