Coral Gables, FL (Sports Network) - Tracy Smith scored 19 points and cleared a team-best seven rebounds to help lead the NC State Wolfpack to a 71-66 win over the Miami Hurricanes in an ACC battle at the BankUnited Center.

Also scoring 19 points for the Wolfpack (16-13, 4-10 ACC) as they won their second straight, was Javier Gonzalez who converted 9-of-12 shots at the free- throw line.

Miami (18-10, 4-10) was paced by Dwayne Collins with 15 points and seven boards as the team lost for the third time in four games. Durand Scott accounted for 13 points as he shot just 4-of-14 from the floor.

Miami shot 51.9 percent from the field in the first half, but the team made just 2-of-9 behind the three-point line and failed to make a single trip to the free-throw line, resulting in a 30-30 tie at the break.

In the second half NC State knocked down a sizzling 60 percent from the field and a perfect 3-of-3 beyond the arc to come away with the five-point win on the road.

In a game that saw 12 ties and 10 lead changes, the Wolfpack survived just 19- of-31 shooting at the charity stripe.
